How it all began
Santorini will always feel special to us. It's where Carlos proposed in July 2026 — and almost exactly one year later, we're returning to make it official.
We can't wait to celebrate with our favorite people.

Itinerary — 02
Cocktails flowing, traditional Greek bites, and DJs playing us through golden hour as the sun slips into the Aegean. Come dance into the Santorini sunset with us as we kick off our wedding weekend.
Tango Champagne & Cocktail Bar · 6:30 PMPlease join us by 5:30 PM as we exchange vows at 6:00 PM sharp, followed by cocktails, dinner, and dancing beneath the stars.
Getting There — 03
There's no nonstop from Miami to Santorini, but you don't need two or three connections either. Miami has direct overnight service to Paris, Rome, and London — and in the summer, each of those cities flies straight to the island. One stop, one long sleep, and you're there.
Air France operates both legs, so this one can usually be booked as a single ticket — the easiest option if you'd rather not juggle two separate reservations.
Transavia also flies to Santorini, but out of Orly — a different airport clear across the city.
American flies Miami to Rome nonstop, and the hop down to Santorini is the shortest of the three — barely longer than Miami to New York.
Rome–Santorini is a seasonal route and some carriers don't start it until later in the summer. Confirm your exact date before booking the long leg.
British Airways runs a daily Heathrow–Santorini flight through the summer, and both British Airways and American fly Miami to London.
Check which London airport you land at. The cheaper Santorini flights leave from Gatwick and Stansted, and crossing London between airports takes hours.
Or go through Athens
There's no nonstop from Miami to Athens, so you'll connect once on the way over — usually through a European hub or New York — then take a short flight on to the island. Athens has the most flights and the most flexibility of any route.
If you've never seen the Acropolis, it's also the easiest place to add a night or two — before the wedding, or after Paros. And if you're joining us in Paros, you'll most likely come back through Athens on the way home anyway.
Two stops instead of one, so it's slower than the three above — but it's the route that always works.
Book early. July 2027 schedules are open now, and the island's summer flights fill up well ahead of time. Prices only climb from here.
Give yourself a real layover. If your two flights are on separate tickets — which is common when the second one is a budget airline — a delay on the first is not the second airline's problem, and they won't rebook you. Leave at least three to four hours.
The Guide — 04
Where Ashley, Carlos and both families will be staying — caldera views and a spa to recover between celebrations.
Our second recommended stay — equally close to the venue, with its own distinct island character.
Must be booked by May 31, 2027 to receive discount
You'll land at Santorini (Thira) National Airport (JTR), roughly 15–20 minutes from both hotels. See Getting There above for the easiest routes from Miami. Ferry transfers from Athens are also available for a scenic alternative.
We recommend arriving by Thursday, July 1 — the day before the Welcome Party. This gives you a little breathing room to settle in, adjust to the time change, and shake off any travel fatigue before the festivities begin — so you can be well rested and ready to celebrate with us all weekend.
Staying at North Santorini Hotel & Spa or Elessa Hotel? Shuttle transportation will be provided to and from both the Welcome Party on July 2 and the Wedding on July 3 — no need to arrange your own ride on either night.
Another Option — 05
If you'd like to be right in the heart of the action, Athina Luxury Suites is a beautiful option perched on the caldera cliffs of Fira — just steps from the Welcome Party at Tango Champagne & Cocktail Bar, and about 15 minutes from Islet Santorini on the wedding day. The views are some of the best on the island.
Fair warning: Fira is all steps and cobblestone streets, in the most charming, ankle-testing way possible. Heels are doable, but a low block heel or a good pair of sandals will make you a lot more friends with the pavement.
The Alternative — 06
If you'd rather base yourselves in Oia for the classic postcard Santorini experience — whitewashed alleys, blue-domed churches, and the island's famous sunset views — it's a wonderful option too. It's a little further from the venue than our two recommended hotels, but well worth it for the scenery.
Just keep in mind our shuttle only runs from North Santorini Hotel & Spa and Elessa Hotel, so you'll want to arrange your own transportation to and from the events if you choose to stay in Oia.
While You're Here — 07
The village at the northern tip of the island, and the one you've seen in every photograph of Santorini — white cubes and blue domes stacked down the caldera wall. Wander the marble lanes in the late afternoon, when the tour groups have thinned and the light turns gold, then climb to the ruins of the Byzantine castle for the sunset the island is famous for. Come early if you want a spot on the wall.
A steep flight of roughly 300 steps leads down from Oia to this tiny fishing port, tucked beneath red volcanic cliffs. It's just as good for a relaxed seafood lunch as it is for sunset — grab a table right at the water's edge at one of the tavernas and watch the boats drift by.
Ammoudi Bay also happens to be one of the main departure points for caldera boat tours. Sailing trips take you around the volcano, with stops to swim at the hot springs and take in the sunset from the water — one of the most iconic ways to experience Santorini.
Thanks to the island's volcanic terrain, Santorini's beaches are anything but ordinary. Red Beach, near Akrotiri, is framed by dramatic rust-colored cliffs. Kamari and Perissa are long stretches of black volcanic sand lined with beach bars and tavernas — both easy day trips no matter where you're staying.
Next Issue — 08
On July 4, we're heading to Paros — our favorite island in Greece — for four nights after the wedding.
Beach clubs, long lunches, afternoons that turn into cocktails and music, dinners along the harbor in Naoussa, and late nights in town.
We'll be there Sunday the 4th through Thursday the 8th — come for all of it, or just a couple of nights. If you're up for extending the trip, we'd love to have you join us.
Where to stay & how to get around Santorini → Paros · from Athinios PortThere's no direct flight between the two islands, so the ferry is the way — and July sailings sell out, so book a few weeks ahead.
More on what we're planning is coming soon — stay tuned.
Registry — 09
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all. For those who'd still like to give something, we've put together a registry.
View Our RegistryGood to Know — 10
Welcome Party (July 2) — All-White Cocktail Attire. For her: short or long white dresses, or a chic matching set. For him: a white or light linen shirt with tailored trousers — think crisp, relaxed, and cocktail-ready.
A word on shoes. The Welcome Party is in Fira, and getting to Tango Bar means a fair number of steps along the caldera — old stone, uneven, and often polished smooth. Choose your heels for that night with that in mind: a block heel or a wedge will serve you far better than a stiletto. We’ll have sandals on hand for the girls if you’d like to switch on your way out.
Wedding (July 3) — Black Tie. Bright, colorful dresses are encouraged for her — think gowns or elegant cocktail dresses in bold color. For him: a black tuxedo (or dark formal suit) with a bow tie.
We recommend arriving by Thursday, July 1 to settle in and adjust to the time change before the Welcome Party. If you're joining us in Paros, plan to depart Santorini on July 4.
Yes — while we love your little ones, our wedding weekend is an adults-only celebration. We appreciate you making arrangements and can't wait to celebrate with you.
Santorini in July is warm and sunny, typically 75–85°F (24–29°C) with little to no rain. Light, breathable fabrics are your best friend, and evenings by the caldera can bring a gentle breeze.
At night, temperatures cool down to around 68–73°F (20–23°C) — comfortable, but you may want a light layer or wrap for the reception, especially once the dancing slows down after midnight.
Not if you're staying at North Santorini Hotel & Spa or Elessa Hotel — shuttle service will be provided for both the Welcome Party and the Wedding. If you're staying in Oia or Fira, or want to explore on your own, a rental car or ATV is a popular way to get around the island.
Yes — when booking North Santorini Hotel & Spa, use guest code Ashley&Carlos to receive your discount. For Elessa Hotel, use code Ashley7-2027 — just be sure to book by May 31, 2027. And if you'd rather stay in Fira, Athina Luxury Suites has a code as well: AshleyCarlos.
Greece uses the Euro (€). Credit cards are widely accepted, but it's handy to carry some cash for smaller tavernas, shops, and cash-only vendors.
Your presence is truly the greatest gift. For those who'd like to give something, we've put together a registry — it includes a cash option as well. You'll find the link in the Registry section above.
Feel free to reach out to Ashley or Carlos directly anytime — we're happy to help with anything from travel logistics to attire questions.
